Inter-diocesan Consultation

Wednesday, 09 June 2010 11:18

The Bishops of the Southern African catholic Bishops’ Conference have embarked on an ambitious project. After ten years into the new millennium they wish to assess the pastoral situation. Life in this part of the world has changed radically since the formulation of the last Pastoral Plan in 1989. Bishop William Slattery has written a letter to initiate the process which will take place over the next two years. It is envisioned that the process of reflection and discussion will take place in three stages. It is hoped that everyone will take the opportunity to participate. This is a moment in which everyone can share their views and hopes for the Church in the coming years. Bishop Slattery’s letter is self-explanatory. In the name of all the Bishops he invites everyone in every parish to participate. To read the lettre, click on "read more".
