I come from Keilands and the whole community of Keilands have fond memories of Bishop Lenhof. I was only 11 years old when I first met him in 1984 in Keilands. He did a lot for the people of Keilands in terms of promoting sustainable community development.

I do not know much about him. But I went to see him some years back to talk with him, I found him to be a very good shepherd who must have been through so much in being father to his priests. Bishop Lenhof understood the tensions which his priests had to go though. He remained human even in his simple dealings with both lay and clergy. I wish him well in his next move and am sure he will continue to enjoy sitting watching television, sports in particular, as a past-time. I also pray and wish that the next man taking after his seat be someone who loves the people and his priests. Hamba kakuhle, bawo.

I would like to congratulate Bishop Lenhof and also pray for him for good health. I worked for a long time with Bishop Lenhof when he was the SACBC Chair for Development as were shepperding the the former Southern African Catholic Developemnt Association (SACDA). He took over form late Bihsop Brekkenheimer of Kroonstad as the chair.Thank you for your service in our Church.
