The Bishops’ Conference agreed to the Rector’s request for a new library to house the libraries of two seminaries. According to Fr Enrico Parry, the Seminary Rector, the library has 40 000 books, not counting the plus minus 20 boxes of books donated at the end of 2008, as well as about 2000 volumes in the journal section. To this collection are added about 400 new books per annum. The new library will extend internet availability for students and a new residential block in a separate section.

Congratulations to St John Vianney for the new library. No doubt, the new location of the library should motivate students to get their hands dirty in the searching for a renewed theological thinking, which is lacking in many of the newly ordained priests. Perhaps, the love for reading and searching for the metaphysical 'realities' in both all spheres of life ought to begin at the seminary level, if not at high school. Thank you Fr Parry for the work well done.
