Contest for Priests: win a trip to Rome!

In order to promote the beauty of the Catholic priesthood, the web portal Catholic.net has launched a contest of priestly stories during the Year for Priests in which priests narrate the most inspiring moment of their priestly ministry. The prize for the best story will be a trip to Rome at the closing of the priestly year in June of 2010. Should the winner be residing in Rome, the prize will consist of a pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

The Preparatory Committee met with me present to consider all the proposals made by the priests themselves for the 'Year for Priests'. They thought it would be a good thing to organise them according to 4 different areas: Pastoral, Human, Intellectual and Spiritual. We chose a number of activities which we found more important to start with in 2010. We did not discard the others which could be taken up later on as we envisage to go on with formation even after the 'Year for Priests'.
