Programme Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator
Denis Hurley Peace Institute (DHPI) seeks to appoint a Programme Monitoring and Evaluation coordinator to support its regional programme through ensuring the timely monitoring and reporting of project activities; the design and implementation of projects to align to a results based approach as well as to conduct evaluations and ensure learning from programme interventions occurs.
This position is based in Pretoria, South Africa. DHPI, which is an associate body of Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference works in the area of peace building supporting various stakeholders on the African continent in ensuring the achievement of sustainable peace on the Continent. Currently, the organization is implementing a peace building project that is targeted at Lesotho, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, energetic and highly organised with a keen understanding of the multi-layered dynamics and issues entailed in peace building. This is a full-time position the duration of which is dependent upon funding.
Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will provide programme planning, management and M&E support towards the implementation of the DHPI programme and will support DHPI’s national partners in the target countries in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning.
Develop, maintain and implement Planning, M&E Reporting and Learning systems and associated tools in alignment with the organizations PMEL existing framework.
Provide quantitative and qualitative monitoring across the target countries through high-lighting and analyzing key outputs, outcomes and impact of DHPI activities.
Support and participate in the planning, design and development of project proposals and ensure the alignment of these to a results based approach.
Provide support towards effective implementation of the DHPI programme to ensure the achievement of planned results.
Ensure the design and conduct of baseline studies to support DHPI’s programme.
Generate regular M&E reports.
Support internal and implementing partners’ capacities to conduct effective programme management and monitoring.
Manage and coordinate scheduled reporting to meet institutional funding partners reporting requirements.
Ensure the effective implementation of all M&E tools and systems.
Provide DHPI and its partners with information needed for planning, and M&E of its programmes
Conduct M&E training programmes for DHPI Programme staff and its implementing partners.
